What to Expect at Your First Treatment Back
Updated July 2021

Booking

When booking your appointment, you will be asked to read and comply with my Return to Practice Plan for minimizing risk of exposure to COVID-19 and creating a low risk environment for massage therapy.

The Day Before Your Appointment

Expect an email 48 hours before your appointment which will ask you to fill out a COVID symptom survey before attending your appointment. This will be required for all subsequent appointments.

Patients must confirm that they have not been in contact with anyone displaying illness, or signs and symptoms of Covid-19 within 14 days prior to their treatment. If you are experiencing any symptoms, you must cancel your appointment. The cancellation policy has been modified so exceptions are made dependent on patients' BC COVID-19 Symptom Self-Assessment.

The Day of Your Appointment

Masks are required upon entry to the building. Enter at your appointment time (not early, please!) and proceed to the washroom opposite the treatment room to wash your hands before you enter the treatment room. Follow the posted hand washing technique.

Upon entering the treatment room you will complete the BC COVID-19 Symptom Self-Assessment Tool prior to treatment. We will then discuss any changes to treatment and you will sign an informed consent. The informed consent form is only required on your first returning appointment.

Please keep your face mask on after the treatment until you exit the building. All treatment equipment, supplies, and high frequency touch areas will be sanitized, all linens replaced, and the room will be aired out.
